On Aug 26, 2011 The Agricultural Futures Exchange of Thailand (AFET) and The Thai Tapioca Tread Association (TTTA) have signed a memorandum of Understanding to develop “tapiocaonline.com”. The website will provide crucial information on tapioca trades and products, which allow Thai entrepreneurs to increase their competitive advantage. The website will be officially launched by TTTA and supported by AFET which will served as a key gateway providing the information related to tapioca products in all aspects ranging from tapioca production and trading, product development and pricing at local and international market. As a result, the site will offer great beneficial to all parties from buyers, traders to users and allow them to obtain information instantly.
Mr. Prasat Kesawapitak, Chairman of AFET, disclosed that Thailand has been considered as a key player in producing and exporting food and agriculture products, particularly tapioca which is continuously playing an increasing role in both food and energy industries. As a result, AFET has recognized the important of agricultural information. Furthermore, entrepreneurs who use AFET’s future purchase strategies in protecting future risk are required reliable up-to-date sources with precise and concise information to help assess and allow them to create efficient decision-making. It is great pleasures that TTTA has initially launched the website and AFET hopes to see this progress expand to other agricultural sectors which will act as an important catalyze increasing Thailand Tapioca products and its competitive advantage in the future.
